In the context of my appointment at the University of Liège, I am responsible for different courses related to transport planning and transport engineering, taught both at the University of Liège, as well as different partner institutions.
UNIVERSITY OF LIEGE COURSES
Transport planning and introduction to transportation engineering
At the University of Liège, I am responsible for the courses on transport planning and transportation engineering, mainly taught in the context of the engineering faculty (applied sciences) of the university. A full overview of my courses at the university can be found HERE. I am also participating in education programs tailored for the industry or administration.
CIEM COURSES
Courses at the inter-university centre for mobility studies
At the inter-university centre for mobility studies (CIEM), I am responsible for the course module transport planning and management, in which I teach design of integrated transport and mobility projects. Furthermore, I provide lectures related to techno-economic analysis of transport. From an administrative point of view, I am the Chairman of the steering committee of the institute.
COURSES TAUGHT ABROAD
International courses on transportation and applied statistics
Within the context of international collaboration, and in particular, with the context of the WBI, ARES (CUD), and VLIR programs, I have given and give different lectures related to transport and logistics and applied statistics. Of particular interest are my collaborations with the University of Limpopo, University of Da Nang (executive master in transport and logistics), University of Brasilia (executive master in inland waterway management and technics), and the Central University of Ecuador.
PAST COURSES
Statistics, transport modelling, micro- and macro-economics
During my past appointments at Hasselt University and KUL campus Brussels, I was responsible for different courses related to statistics, transportation modelling, urban planning and introductory courses in micro-economics and macro-economics. Furthermore, I was responsible for the supervision of various bachelor and master theses. An overview can be found in Services.
